Best Monday Workout Ever

I have always loved Monday mornings, to the point where I’m excited on Sunday night!
Today was no different… I woke up at 3.45 am to plan the 5 & 6 am training sessions. As soon as each class was over I heard from several people that it was THE BEST workout they’d had to date! This is interesting because most of my clients have been training with me for 1-1.5 years in average.
I’ve discovered that what allows me to improve as a trainer is not what I do in that 1 hour training session but the fact that 90% of my down time is spent researching, learning and experimenting with different training techniques and nutritional strategies to determine how they can be used to support my client’s goals better.
Regardless of what area of your life you want to improve (not only applicable to fitness), if you want to be the best version of yourself you need to look at what you do with the rest of the time you have. Not just with your time at work, school, or exercising, I’m not talking about that… that’s the bare minimum, anybody is willing to do the bare minimum and most people will stop there… I’m talking about what you are doing with the rest of your time?
Many people say they want to succeed yet spend hours and hours completely wasting their time, playing games on their phones, watching yet another Netflix marathon, etc… don’t get me wrong, if I have made some serious progress one week I can and definitely do enjoy a few hours of down time. However I refuse to spend 1/3rd of my week screwing around. It’s not that I have no choice, it’s that I just don’t want to!
Think I am obsessed? Maybe, but this is who I am and what I want, this is how I choose to live my life.
Choose to use your time doing something beneficial for yourself and your goals. Instead of wasting time doing nothing, spend your time improving. Decide what you want more and use your time accordingly.
