Why your Diet isn’t Working!
It’s not uncommon for our clients’ friends and family members to ask them this question: “What EXACTLY did you eat to lose all that weight?!”. It makes sense, with so many of us struggling to make progress… let alone reach your weight goal, when you come accross someone who has actually made it happen it you can’t help but wonder how they did it. EXACTLY.
Information Overload
We know eating for weight-loss can get very overwhelming. When you start hearing about things like Macronutrient Ratios, Caloric Density, Intermittent Fasting, etc it gets confusing. Millions of people have lost weight without knowing anything about any of these things. While many others used these concepts in their Fitness nutrition journey to success.
A Good Start
If you’re serious about losing weight you probably already know the things you could change. You could start by limiting things like fast food, pop, alcohol and candy. Trying to reduce the amount of fried or overly fatty foods. That’s always a good start.
Individual Needs
Asking someone that has lost a significant amount of weight for a list of meals or foods that they ate in order to lose weight is like asking an olympic swimmer to give you a step by step list of how to swim as fast as them.
Forcing yourself to eat the way someone else does or because your heard it might work does NOT guarantee you will see results. We are all different and so, different things will work for each person. You need to find what works best FOR YOU and maintain it. Stay consistent! Because THAT is what will work. Restrictive eating habits will lead you to feel the need to binge every weekend or even every night. This is not only ineffective it’s actually damaging.
