I am becoming a ‘Tough Mudder’!

Now some of my friends would already call me that… 😉 But the official title is coming on June 18 in Whistler when I participate with my team from Driven Performance Fitness and Miguel Diaz!

 

This is the end of my 3rd week of training and today after my workout at the gym – I got on that scale and I have lost 10.6 lbs and I feel stronger already! (I am so proud of myself – I have been working my ass off! (literally 😉

 

Know Your Numbers!
As you may or may not know – I am a money coach and have been a financial advisor for 19 years+… My warrior cry to my clients is “KYN” (know your numbers) … it makes such a difference with your relationship with money… and your results!
Well here’s the thing – my weight had been slowly creeping up over the last 10 years… just 3-5 lbs a year adds up over time and then you go to put your summer or winter clothes on and it’s ‘CRAP’ I can’t get into anything!

 

Ah-Ha Moment
I’m 54 yrs old – in Menopause, and sometimes have stress (which both were a good excuse for me) and then a Facebook post from Terry Stevens woke me up and I had a big ah-ha about myself. She was calling for people to join her team and it was at the right moment and the right time that the ‘teacher’ appeared… Here was a chance for me to be accountable (something my clients are to me …to get kick-ass results) I messaged her right away and told her to send me the link…without even thinking about it…something just clicked and I knew it was time!

 

NO S–T SHERLOCK!
I really didn’t know my numbers … not financial – but personal … my weight and how many calories I was putting into my body. I have clients tell me all the time that if they look at their financial numbers then they have to do something about them…to which I reply…. “NO S–T SHERLOCK! 🙂 Well I said the same thing to myself about tracking weight and calories….I was not walking my KYN talk in my health and wellness.

 

I’m NOT on a Diet!
With Miguel and his team’s help and training – I have a plan that I follow – I weigh in every week to track my progress and I am accountable with my food diary which he can check and monitor so I succeed! I am not on a diet – I am simply aware of how much goes in – how much I burn and what does the scale say – so I can track my progress towards my goal weight. I am definitely exercising more – in fact – 6 days a week right now as I know that June 18th will come faster than I think! I want to be strong for my team…which is what I love about Tough Mudder it is all about the team finishing…not who wins, or who was the fastest or strongest.

 

Don’t Settle for Mediocre!
When we put our heads in the sand about problems or issues that we have, we just get more of the same thing. So if I have inspired you to look at your numbers either financial or your weight and health then…awesome! I can help you with your money – and Miguel can help you with your health!
As I always say – Life is short…don’t settle for mediocre! You can and you deserve to have whatever you want if you are ready to do the work….I’ll tell you – it is so worth it…and only 3 weeks in..I am pumped about my results and my goal is getting closer and closer! ♥
